Quilting.....

I have been working on the quilting on the hand dyed modular quilt.  I have done about 10 more lines since I took this photo.  This photo was taken in the morning with the light from the west windows coming across it.  I'm using an olive green Invisfil thread on it, a very lightweight polyester thread, so the thread doesn't really show that much.

Love it. Long arm or domestic machine? Any pe
Problem with fabric scooching or are you alternating starting from each end? I really do love this but it looks like it will take forever. Good tv work. Jan

I was given a bag full of HST. I have no idea what I am going to do with them. So I'll watch yours and see if I get inspired.

Oooooh! That is really shaping up to be another pretty one. The quilting really enhances the fabrics, and they are pretty to begin with.

The line quilting is wonderful! Are you doing it free motion?

I love the heavy, dense quilting!!!

Quilting the precise straight lines is more difficult than your free hand swirls isn't it ? Looks GREAT !

I love the texture against the earthy tones. Makes me think of a field of crops, viewed from the air, with the rows of plants.

The texture your quilting is giving makes this quilt look so warm and cozy! Love the colours -- they look like velvet.

I'm really glad to know you're using Invisafil on some of your quilts. I've used it on a couple, and really love how you end up seeing the texture of the quilting but only a barely visible quilting line. But I didn't know of anyone else who used it. Now I'm reassured! Do you think it would hold up in washing well enough to use on a baby quilt?

Hi Wanda,
It's amazing how that simple quilting makes the quilt look so great.
