Flipped border........

I decided to take the lazy way out and just folded some of the remaining yardage into the same area of the fabric as the border that was on the top and pinned it in place.  I think I do like this better so I'll start unsewing today.
This is the official finished photo of the batik strip quilt with zebra print binding.
I zoomed in for a closer look at the quilting.  You can see that no two rows are alike.  This quilting was fast and fun to do.

I really LOVE the swirly border with the straight lines of the block pattern. It's just terrific! (and inspiring!)

I agree - the border on the crosses quilt does look better when it's flipped around. Love the striped quilt - what a great way to use up leftovers!

wonderful, wonderful! Now that I see it switched, I agree about the swirly border.

I like your batik-with-zebra - great finish!

Love this crosses quilt and I like the border either way. I don't find it distracting to have the circle meet in the upper corner.

Glad your dad enjoyed the family reunion. My dad enjoys them too, as do it.

I love both quilts.

Now don't hit me, but did you consider mitering the borders on the crosses quilt?

It's 11:30pm, I'm tired. I'm on my way to bed and your quilts are the last thing I see - they make me smile! I hope they give me lots of colourful, inspirational dreams!

I made a jelly roll strip quilt from Terrain fabric by Kate Spain and will take inspiration from your quilting on yours - Love it! Love the new Kaffee print in the border - I always enjoy seeing your solutions:)

Your zebra binding is very fun. I like the way your crosses quilt is coming along. Your fabric choices are great, as usual. Glad your dad had a good time at the family reunion. It is wonderful that so many family members are close enough to attend.
