I worked on a Kindle cover for my niece last week and now we're trying to get together so she can try it for size. Since I don't have a Kindle, I had to rely on measurements she gave me. I made a prototype and then we figured how to tweak it to make it better. I haven't sewn the button for closure on yet.

Looks great. Same idea as your journal covers. You can get real creative with them. Chris
Thanks Wanda, I am planning to make one for a co-worker. I was planning to use elastic for the corners, but I like your folded squares better! Why didn't I think of that? Ha ha.
I love the horn button, Wanda. Maybe you'd consider a tutorial for those of us who NEED instruction! I'd love to make one for my sister. She also has a Ipad - maybe a pattern for that as well? You're a genius.
Hope your dad is feeling better.

I have been looking for something like that. You should do a tutorial. What did you use to make the cover stiff or did you use anything?
I think you know I made one for my kindle and it looks like the one you made will fit - I too did folded corners, the first one I made the corners were too small and the kindle would slip out on one side, the second one turned out better. I love the colors you used.

I need to get busy and make one for my Nook and another for my iPad. Besides being protective, I just like them to look pretty. Good job.
I LIKE it! What a fortunate niece to have such a generous aunt!
Very nice and I like the folded corners, too. I tried the elastic and that works but the fabric looks like it will work as well if deep enough, and looks much better. Thanks for sharing! I agree a tutorial would be fantastic.
I don't think I would use a button or anything hard that could put uneven pressure on the kindle in the event "something" happens.
Nicely done!
How about some straps?
Love the colors!
I don't have a kindle yet (I'm cheap ... keep waiting for the price to drop even more!) but I love that cover. I agree about the button being hard; have you considered velcro?

The fabrics are quite wonderful! I like the horn button, also. I wnt to make covers for everything.

Great cover!! I love it. It is a great gift.
You are a very creative lady - as always. And I also love the choice of fabrics. Do you just collect and collect, and then happen to find fabrics from your stash that work together? You have the BEST fabrics arounds every time I look at a new project of yours!
What a fun cover!!!
Fabulous fabric choices & colors. Love the button.

Love the colorful Kindle cover! I hope your dad will get stronger and feel better soon.
A very Colourful Kindle Cover! I'm sure your niece will love it.
I must try this sometime as I do have a Kindle. It's prettier than the black case I have.
