Here are some more batiks I purchased Wed., not on sale, so I just got a half yard of each.
I can't believe another day has slipped by without any sewing. I did one load of laundry and then washed a load of fabrics for pillowcases for our church project for next Monday. When they were dry I cut out a bunch of the different sized pieces. Then last night, even though it was snowing, I went to the movies again and saw "Morning Glory". It was the last night it was showing so it was my last chance. It looked like about 2" of snow when I got home. The streets were covered with snow and the houses decorated with colored lights. I'm not out at night very often so it was a new and pretty scene for me.

Pretty batiks, the one on the right looks like fireworks. I know what you mean about not sewing... sometimes you get the bear, sometimes the bear gets you. It's been very cold here lately, in the 30's brrrr! We're not supposed to have it this cold until next month. Sew forth and sew on.
Great batiks! Even though you aren't getting any sewing done, you have had very productive days. So far, we have been able to escape the snow days! I am definitely okay with that.
It sounds so pretty with the snow on the ground. My daughter sent some photos of their house in the snow in Wisconsin. It looks so pretty.
Lovely batiks - we can't always find what we want on sale can we - they are so pretty and will add to your colors.

fabrics again are georgeous - I love batik. It sounds sooo cold where you are!
I can't tell you how many days I go without sewing. Your work ethic is an inspiration, though, and I do plan to get back to it soon. Your color sense is also an inspiration.
By the way, how did you like Morning Glory?
Beautiful batiks!! I just run onto your blog when I was visiting my friend Joan's. We are almost neighbors. I live in Rockton. Your blog is very interesting and inspiring.
Love the Batiks! We haven't had any snow yet, just flurries.
I haven't done much sewing or decorating, we're too busy painting.
I hope to at least feel some fabric this weekend.
I enjoy seeing and am envious of the fabrics you find.
We were to get more snow during the night ... but the snow we had melted instead.

Nice selection of batiks. They are so pretty (I esp. like the one on the right) it would be hard just to buy a half a yard!
Gorgeous batiks! The one on the far right is intriguing -- it does look like fireworks at first glance.
We're supposed to get a snowstorm this weekend. Right now it looks like it's about to begin any minute. So dark and dreary that we've got all the lights on.
Love these fabrics!
Wow, beautiful batiks! I just missed Morning Glory. I'll have to wait for the rental. did you like it?
Lovely batiks! I admire your taste in fabrics! You know the value of value! lol
I love your batiks Wanda- I got really lucky last weekend and bought some larger pieces of batik for 5 dollars a meter. I hadn't really intended to buy fabric but my friend and I found a great deal in the clearance area of a LQS. They had originally been 17 dollars a meter- It was one happy find...
It is snowing here and was quite crisp outside today. My husband shoveled today and will probably need to shovel again by the look of the sky.
I am sure that you will turn the new lush looking fabrics into something wonderful.
Did you like the movie Morning Glory? I have not heard of the movie ( at least I don't think so)
Hope you have a glorious weekend - perhaps you will get to play with some fabric yet..
Warmest regards,
Anna
You know, you have really turned me into a lover of batik fabrics. I just liked them before. LOL
And I'd be willing to bet that when you return to sewing, it will be the best yet! Can't wait to see what you do.
We all need a little break now and then.
In my book, the shopping, and washing fabric count as quilt time. And reading quilt blogs. I take credit wherever I can. You have some beautiful batiks there.
Gorgeous fabic!
