Cold weather...........

I finished this embroidery yesterday.  It says 67 minutes on the screen of the machine.  That means 67 stitching minutes; then there are all of the thread changing minutes.  I would say over an hour and a half to stitch it.
We had snow flurries yesterday morning and it was only in the 20's all day.  I had to take Dad for a blood test.  He couldn't imagine it was going to be cold enough to wear a winter coat.  He found out in a hurry because it was windy too.  It was one of his good days.  He has had several bad ones in the last few weeks and that is why I have been worn out.

I also got borders cut and sewn on some QOV quilts yesterday.  I hope I can get one quilted today.

The embroidery is just adorable!! Long time to stitch it out, but worth it! So glad that your Dad had a good day yesterday. We all need those!

I love the embroidery against that background, I'm a big Rudolph fan anyway. I'm glad your dad had a good day, and I hope things get better still.

Congratulations on getting the borders done on your QOV quilts, you've probably lost count of the many you've made, plus pillow cases.

Oh, I love that present-laden reindeer! So cute! You certainly have a lot of patience. With your stitching and with your Dad. Take care.

Wanda, I meant to tell you I like your new font, it looks like a celebration of exuberance!

Hope your dad enjoyed his time out even if it was to get blood work. Sometimes just time out in the car seems to help someone who is housebound. The embroidery is cute, I had several years back thought of getting a machine to do the embroidery but then decided I really didn't have enough interest in it to pay the cost of the machine.

It was terribly cold and windy yesterday. I had gone to the cemetery to put wreaths on the graves and nearly froze. (I had to use a mallet and spike to make holes for the stands to go into the ground.)

I'm glad your dad had a good day. Those are always such a relief. Just remember to take extra good care of YOURSELF! Caretaking wears you out totally - physically & mentally. If you can find the time, do something extra special just for yourself. I'm thinking of you and your dad, too.

I usually add 1/2 again to the time of my machine embroidery to cover thread changes. This is a great pattern and so holiday-ish.
Glad your day is having a good day.

Hugs - Marie

I thought I was seeing things when I saw the new font! I am glad someone else noticed it, too. I don't know where you get your energy, must be all those Dr. Peppers. Those embroidery blocks make a great quilt .

So cute, Wanda. Next you will need one of those fancy twelve thread machines so you don't have to change threads at all.

I can imagine how tired you must be. It is physical as well as emotional exhaustion when it comes to parents.

Your Dad is a lucky guy to have you there caring for him.

Here in mid-MO yesterday, a winter coat was in order. With the wind chill it was definitely WINTER WEATHER.
Today is in the 50s.

Love your reindeer. When I do machine embroidery I look at the time and then double it. It may be faster than hand embroidery but it is not way fast, is it?
