As I go through more boxes, I'm finding more pieces leftover from previous projects. These 180 four and a half inch squares are left from the Double 9 patch quilt I made in 2008.
These 72 green four and a half inch squares are left from a blue and green Double 4 Patch quilt also made in 2008. I used a lot of the blue leftovers in 2 Bear Paw quilts. In this post I was trying out layouts of the blocks.
In another box are these 204 batik four and a half inch squares. A lot of them are leftover from a kit I sold to a friend for a Double 4 patch quilt, maybe from 2 kits. Now that I have a record of these on my blog, I can refer back to this post if I find a pattern that I want to make that will take this size square. I also have the 35 purple and green leftover portion of the 4.5" strips to cut into 4 squares of each.
I'll keep looking through things today. I know I want to press the flannel scraps and cut more tumblers and squares from them. If I can just get the pain in my back and leg to stop I'll get more done. I have an appointment this month for a treatment that will possibly work.

Nice to get rid of all the bits and pieces!

So sorry about your back/leg pain--I totally get that!! ;((( Hard to stand for any length of time for sure and cutting takes standing...
You have nice pre-cut pieces all ready to start some new projects there, Wanda. ;))) I hope to finish sewing my strata for my 30's sets today...[my own back/leg issue kept me from doing much yesterday!!].
12 degrees here under sunny skies this morning--our new thermostat is working --but came pre-set for only Mon through Fri-- days...so Tom has 5 days to figure out how to program next weekend's schedule to our liking...you'd think that would be so easy, right? No so!! Never easy, is it???
Hugs, Julierose
I so hope today's treatment gives you some relief. Blogs are certainly handy for tracking what you have on hand for future projects!
I am sorry to hear that you still are having back and leg pain. I can so relate to that! I hope you get some relief with your treatment. Emptying all those boxes is fantastic! You always seem to have boxes with pieces already cut. I only seem to find boxes with scraps that need cut which takes a lot of time.
Great way to document what you have waiting in the wings. Take care and don't push too hard ... pain can be a great inhibiter (but also entirely unwanted).
You didn’t let your back and leg pain keep you from producing such grand January of finishes. And now gearing up for the month of February. Your positive outlook with creating even more from your finds in your boxes, ~ I can see it inspired you for February.
Those are beautiful fabrics! I am making note of what size squares you save. You always give me good ideas and inspiration to create new things. I don’t need your inspiration for buying new fabric/discovering new fabric lines. I am still craving more Marcia Derse.
that is good to get so many empty boxes! I am trying to do that too but I don't have so many pieces that have already been cut.
Love those batiks, I can see some I have too, world wide fabrics!! Wanda, a random suggestion, for that pain, have they ever checked your thyroid levels? or Vitamin B 12 as well? Hope whatever is causing it can be sorted.
That's better.
Wow! You have a lot of precuts to keep you busy for a while :)
