I got a few of the blocks sewn on the zig zag quilt. The blocks for the bottom row are sewn too but I didn't put them back up on the wall yet.
I also went through the batik orphan block box again and found enough 16 patches that went well together for another table runner. This one will be 16" x 40".
I think this batik with zebras looks good for the backing.
I also finished basting the Kaffe double four patch small quilt so I have a couple things to finish to alternate with sewing zig zag blocks.
It was 64 degrees in the house yesterday morning and I actually wore a sweater. I had one window open and there was a cool breeze blowing in.

I just saved the photo of your blocks with that neat plaid to remind myself to be a little more daring in my fabric choices. :D That zebra batik is gorgeous. Isn't it nice to put on a sweater? I actually wore a flannel shirt in the house yesterday morning, it was heavenly.
What a relief to have cooler weather and to be able to have a window open! I like the wat the green triangles are coming out……the b/w print really gives it a spark.
The zebra batik - what a wonderful choice to back this quilt! Congratulations!
Weather-wise here in Virginia I had the AC on yesterday afternoon because it was so hot and muggy. This morning it's 61 and raining. Such an improvement!

Zig-Zag is coming together beautifully, Wanda--;)))---and I
love that zebra batik in that soft color...
We finally got measurable rains overnight--3/4" and still coming down this morning--we could use a week of this..60 degrees out there.
I've finished up all I can (want to) do for now of my stash--now I hesitate to "mess it all up again!":--((( Still hand quilting Sunrise, Sunset and planning place mats for my grandgirls for Halloween
hugs, Julierose
Your green is so refreshing and zebra backing for your table runner is so fun.
You made good progress on zig zag quilt. The weather is cooler here and I am loving it! We could use some rain, but there is none in the forecast.
That is more than 'some' progress with all of those sewn HSTs and the newly made table runner!! Well done!
Rainy and chilly southwest of Richmond, Virginia with today's high just 67*F! I'm wearing a sweatshirt jacket. Love it!
Hugs!
and here I thought it was cold in the house after leaving windows open last night and it had dropped to 70 LOL it was 58 outside so I'm surprised it didn't drop colder in the house but I suspect there was no breeze
The HSTs are working up so well with the plaid and the B&W. Cool, yes, but the sunshine is wonderful. The countryside showed itself off in fine style to my Texas guest as we drove to and from Madison for the quilt show.
