Tweaking all day again.......

I played with this all day yesterday again because my painter was back and I didn't want to start on something new.  I have the red corner looking a little better but now I don't like the blue or the purple corners so I'll have another day of tweaking.  Below is the photo from yesterday for comparison.  I will have some peace and quiet today with the workers gone so I can start concentrating again.

I don't think people realize how much work it is to get the quilt to work all over and blend so well.

Ah! I am finally starting to see the things that cause a "visual break" in the first picture. I see why you changed them. The blue corner has "bothered" me - so I will be interested to see how you tweak it.

Finding just the right wash of colors that fit in and also move the changes along must be really a challenge...this is looking really lovely hugs, Julierose

This is coming along beautifully! I notice and really like the yellow that you blended in perfectly here and in the recent African fabric colorwash. Tweeking was my favorite thing—a quilt puzzle!

The best part is that you have the quantity of fabrics to play with to tweak this. It rained here all day yesterday so painters would not have been working. It rained most of the night and has now finally quit. We needed the rain.

I need to figure a way to enlarge the photos and then line them up, side by side, to see how the tweaking's been accomplished. Seeing the detailed difference in fabrics... how one is better than the other in achieving the effect... is so helpful for me.

As I mentioned yesterday you are a perfectionist to beat all. Seeing area's to 'tweak' that the rest of us had to study hard to see. This is already a work of art.

There is one block in the green section that have red in it that brings my attention, other than that the quilt is great. You could move them around for hours and at one point you have to decide when is enough. Congratulations it is a great quilt.
