Another beautiful day.........

It was another beautiful day yesterday.  My sister-in-law offered me some plants from her garden.  I went over and helped her dig up a couple hostas and pulled a baby plant loose from both of them.  She also gave me some hellebore starts, 3 little plants.  I didn't have any of those and always wanted some.  I came home and had lunch and then planted my new treasures.  While I was out I did some weeding.

Last night I moved a few triangle star blocks for better balance.  Now I need to concentrate on colors and make sure they are distributed well.  My 2 friends are coming over to sew so I'll get their opinions too.  I hope to make at least one more block of my Farm Girl Vintage quilt.  I also have some blocks for this purple quilt to cut and sew.

I made the photo full screen to see the blocks better. I find one that I really like, and then, oh, I like this one over here, and then this one over there. It is interesting to keep moving through the blocks because they all have something a little different to offer.

I had to look up the hellebores. There are an amazing number of varieties and colors of them.

This was our first spring with the hellebores we planted last year and their early bloom and pretty foliage are much enjoyed.

Love my hellebores. They thrive in Seattle, like weeds, and stay green all winter. Then the flowers come in early spring--one of our beautiful winter-flowering plants. The gardening season is ON!!

I love how different these blocks look with the different color placement.

Wow, your star blocks look wonderful together. I've enjoyed seeing each one as you designed it, but this grouping is just stunning.

There is one row that draws my attention and not in the best way, but you always make everything so beautifully, I am sure that it is just me. So beautiful.

I just dug up three big hellebores or Lenten roses and gave them to my neighbor. I have bunches of them. I also shared my cora bells. I will have to go and see where he planted them. My four year old Lenten roses are about 18 inches tall and more than twice that width.

I love the different effect the placement of fabric makes with these stars - every one different!
