I'm going to help a friend baste a quilt this morning. I got it all laid out on the tables last night so it should go pretty fast.

Wow! You keep pumping out these stars. I'd ditch that center square too.
We had rain this morning, but it starting to clear up. Maybe by later this afternoon it will dry out enough I can move the rest of my sweet peat pile.
Hi Wanda - I'm not experienced, so take that into account - In your designed block, my attention goes to the corners rather than the center shape. In your sewn shapes I "see" the center star shape. They're really beautiful!

I agree about the middle . . . and we are to get rain tomorrow.
I agree that the center on this one should be...something else. I like what you did do with both this block and this center the next day.
And I *know* the center fabric is called houndstooth, but for some reason, today I'm seeing jumping kangaroo silhouettes in the upper right and lower left triangles. Time for more coffee, I think....
