Triangle quilt #2...............
I sewed more sections for the triangle quilt #2. All that is left are two sections made with 4" triangle squares. I need 42 and only have 17 sewn so I will be cutting more today.
Here is a reminder of my plan for the quilt. It is on a 48" wide design wall so you can see it is a little wider than the wall. It would be about 50" x 70" if I make it like the drawing.

I LOVE this design. With your permission I would like to put this diagram and your work on the Smartboard in my classroom and have the students try to figure out the size of each of the squares, area, perimeter etc. I use the quilt I purchased from you to identify shapes created by other shapes. It is eyecatching and colorful so the students are immediately engaged. Thanks for another lesson plan!!

Happy Cutting! As you are cutting, you are probably seeing new ways to combine the fabric. The quilt progress is stunning. The saturated batiks elevate triangles to a new level.

You are rocking the 1/2 sq triangles with these quilts. I love them.
I like the dimension of each block, big, medium or small, they have the illusion of a 3-dimension in each. This piece already is stunning.

This is such an interesting design Wanda, a lovely way to use the HSTs.
Really a fun quilt design. Shows the 3D power of a half square block!! The fabrics really make the "drawing" come to life.
What do you about seam allowances on a quilt with as many seams of different sizes as this one? Do you iron your seams open?
