Some quilting..........

I cut batting for several projects yesterday.  Then it was time to quilt something.  I looked for projects with backings that were ready too.

I did organic straight line quilting, free hand and nice and wobbly.

Here is an even closer look.  This quilt is kind of stiff with all of this quilting so I'm hoping it will soften when washed.  I got it trimmed and the binding sewn on but not finished.

I decided to quilt another one that had the backing ready.  I made this top in February last year and it is a tablecloth for my kitchen.  I used Thermore batting which is a very lightweight and flat polyester batting.
I crossed over and the world didn't come to an end.  No quilting police showed up at my door.

This is the same spot on the front of the quilt.  I was using red thread and I really couldn't see where I had already stitched when I was on the red and white prints.

Wow - Good to know! I often wondered what would happen when the "Line Is Crossed"!!
I love the fabric - it is a lovely group of reds. It will look wonderful on your table!

I called them, Wanda. I'm sorry, but we just can't let these kinds of things go. Otherwise if we let you get away with it, who knows what else would do? They're coming. When you least expect it.

I like your tablecloth! you're exceptionally good at choosing your fabrics for TATW so they blend seamlessly!

I just bought some of that batting at the Paducah quilt show last week, also especially for making tablecloths. flat, won't shrink, perfect!

I can't believe it! You crossed over and didn't rip it out! You're a brave girl!!! I should be more like you!

Bravo! I couldn't agree more, Wanda! Another friend once said, if someone's nose is so close that they can see that little spot where the thread crossed (or whatever else "bad" happened), then their nose is in the wrong place! Lovely! And you will be able to enjoy it every day in your kitchen. Now go and enjoy this glorious day!

I love your beautifully quilted pieces of art. I often cross over free motion quilting lines. Didn't realize it was a violation. Haha :D

Both quilted pieces are great and they are done! I have one on the longarm that I need to get moving on. It is hard to be in the basement on a sunny day, but I cannot find anywhere upstairs to fit the frame.

Ha!! Now that you have confessed the police may be knocking at your door! They both look wonderful. Did you get those runners replaced on the machine?

You are going to have a nice selection of finishes for April!

I like them both. However, you are in big trouble for crossing over as someone has reported you. :) Watch behind you for the quilt police. LOL
