Table runner.............
I had a good sewing day yesterday. I didn't leave home all day so no interruptions. I finished basting the star quilt. Then I took the strippy quilt off the longarm and trimmed it. I did a little more quilting on this table runner and then cut the binding, sewed it on and hand finished it. The backing is a purple mottle batik. It is about 15" x 45". The Bento blocks are left over from this quilt.

I love the Bento block and must give it a try. I won a jelly roll so that might be perfect for it.
You are certainly making good headway into 2016. I will be urged on when I get to my first quilt group meeting tomorrow.

Wow, busy lady. I love those days when you can stay home and just quilt. Wondered if you participate in the RSC16 (Rainbow Scrappy Challenge). IT would seem you are a natural for that. Wondered if you will post your work here if you do participate. I am trying it for the first time this year.
As usual, the batiks are gorgeous and sparkle!
That was a good day of sewing!
The Bento Box pattern is one that has continued to elude me. I love the look of the quilt when it is crumpled and in use, but somehow the flat version just doesn't make my heart flutter. Maybe someday - I always love your versions, so I haven't given up completely!
I've been looking for ideas for a table runner as a gift - I've wanted to try the bento block so this might be the one to inspire me - love the colours busy lady :)
It sound like a great day of sewing. Your runner will really make the table a delight.
Terrific use of your left over blocks!
