Quilted..........

I got the triangle quilt quilted yesterday, all vertical lines, slightly wobbly.

The back is a wild batik of which I happened to have exactly the right amount.  I think the binding will be blue, green or brown.  I intend to do it completely by machine.

How will you spend your New Year's Eve?  I'll be making my photo collage of the recap of 2015 for my blog, sipping Dr. Pepper and eating Chex Mix.

We are going over to the neighbors for a bit... sit in front of the fire, maybe play a Mexican Trains games, and eat junky food. I am sure we will be in bed by ten-ish.

Happy New Year!!! Sounds like a perfect way to ring it in! Ours will be about the same... sans the Chex Mix.

I am not certain, but I will probably stay at home and sew or weave -or maybe watch a movie and then go to be at my usual time.

I really like how the quilting looks on all the triangles. Great choice!

We'll be spending some family time watching a bunch of "Thin Man" movies on TCM and having bean soup and corn bread for dinner (which is in the pot already). Hope to finish sewing up the stuffing holes on the bear I made for my sister, then sewing on the button eyes and embroidering his nose/mouth. Look forward to your 2015 collage! Happy New Year!

Just a quiet night in with my daughter, watching others on TV celebrate the New Year with some music and laughter. Sending you best wishes for the New Year 2016.

Wow! This one came together really quickly, and it's beautiful. Love that lining. We've got plans to go for dinner with a very good friend of our, which I am looking forward to, and we'll see if we make it all the way to midnight. Happy New Year, Wanda!

Love your HST quilt, it's on my list now as a leader and ender. Love your idea of sipping Dr. Pepper, one of my favorites. I think we are going to Taco Bell for a gourmet meal and then a cheap movie, bed early tonight. We are on a quest to pick up a rescue dog, maybe two!

I need to get an end of year post done as well - I like how you quilted that Triangle quilt - there is something about the straight/wobbly lines that I really like and as I plan to try to do more of my quilts by machine in the coming years it is something I will be using. When you do that do you usually use a thread color that is kind of in between the colors in the quilt - not too light/not too dark?

Love, love, love the quilting on the triangle quilt! Happy New Year! My evening will be sewing the rest of the blocks together for the music quilt and watching a movie - either Magic Mike XXL or Love Actually. It all depends on how I feel with the darn cold.

I like this quilt a lot. I will put it on my to do list. Mom is a little the weather so we will stay in. At best we would have gone out to dinner.
Happy New Year wishes to you.

I think slightly wobbly quilting lines are the best. Nothing on my body is perfect and I don't think my quilts should be either. Hope this gives someone a chuckle! I love seeing all your beautiful quilts and enjoy reading your posts. Have a wonderful and happy new year!

I love this quilt and have a favor to ask. I teach a new owners class for the local Innova dwaler. I spend 1 day talking about simple quilting designs that look great and that they can do from day 1. Would you mind if I used one of these photos in my slide show? With credit of course. No worries if you prefer not!
