Cutting and playing........
I still haven't cut a huge amount of squares of Kaffe fabric but I'm playing with combinations anyway. The values (dark, medium,light) are placed in different positions in all of the blocks.
The birdbath is getting a lot of use lately. Every time I would focus the camera on it, most of the birds would fly away. The mourning dove is persistent about getting his/her turn though. A sparrow watches and waits.

It's always intriguing how the same block can look so different by simply changing the value placement.
Have you ever seen bluebirds teach their babies how to bathe? Too cute!
I can't believe how every block looks so different. Some underlying structure, but value has the final say.

Looks like fun block playing. My favorite is the top left pink block, more of a blend instead of a defiant design like the others with the "plus/sashing" look to them.
So nice to play with the fabrics. The results look great.
