A cool day...........

It was in the low 60s yesterday morning so I planted all of my hostas that were in pots this summer.  There were some left over from splitting them this spring and a couple new ones.  I planted 11 altogether.  This week it is going to heat up again so they have time for the roots to get established.

I got one new block designed.  I really need to get some more cutting done before I design any more.
I got two more blocks sewn and auditioned Brandon Mably's babble print in black and white for sashing.  I will try several more fabrics before I make a decision.

So you are just winging it and sewing them together with the sashing without the design wall preview? Brave woman.

The cooler temps must have been a welcomed relief for you. Your blocks have such pretty fabrics in them.

I love the Babble print, great for many uses. The newest block (first one) is really nice! Must be the blue in it. :) I think your grouping with Babble between is great. You can really get an "up and back" with these blocks with color placement.

I like that sashing, it picks up the tones, but a good contrast as well. The new one in design mode, superb, as always. I read somewhere that hostas do so well in pots, as the slugs and snails cannot get to the leaves. And it went on to say if they are in the ground, sawdust from untreated wood works well, as the slugs cannot crawl through it.

I like those blocks - and really like that fabric you're auditioning for the smashing.

II'm loving watching these blocks appear on your wall! By the way have you seen the preview of the new KF Collective fabrics - there are quite a few there that I could happily add to my stash - correction, I will add to my stash!

Oh Wanda~ what exciting posts you shared the last few days... Your square clam shell blocks are, as usual, so full of wonderful, colorful fabrics. I so love to see your work.

And your 'Trip to the Fair'...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU so very much for the photo's. This year it seemed like the quilts were extraordinary well deserved ribboned pieces. I put all the photo's in my photo album to study again. The talent for making quilts amazes me. Loved all the photo's you took.

And I know that is quite a hike back to your house, and I am assuming it was hot that day ? We had been up to see my sister again and I just got a chance to check in with you, this afternoon.
