Binding the mug rugs.......
It took me an hour to do the first 2 bindings on 8" mug rugs. The next 4 took an hour and 15 minutes. I am pretty particular about how it looks and still feel that they need a bartack in every folded mitered corner of the binding. I have seen the fabric pull out of a folded miter after washing so it is necessary. I hope I can speed it up to 15 minutes for each by the time I finish the whole pile of them.

Love the kiwiana ones.
You're like a machine. Do you ever rest?
I love them, especially the top left one!
Only you can make them look the way you want them. They look perfect. Sometimes the small things take more time. Chris
Oh the green ones look so calm.... You use straight grain rather than bias for bindings?
These are pretty!
These are way too beautiful to set a mug on. Maybe you could mount them on premade artist canvas squares for small, modular wall hangings, moveable art pieces.
Every quilt you make is beautiful! You inspire me over and over. Yay, color!
they are really pretty and if you are selling them or giving for gifts I can understand why you are picky about them -
Sweet, beautiful little pieces of art. Each one special.
They're all beautiful, but the green ones are extra special - they make me think of a forest. Very calming and really draw me to just gaze at them.
Your mug rugs are beautiful as all your quilts are. I have search around your blog but have not found how you do your binding (cutting width, seam allowance etc). Would you mind sharing this information?
I am very bad at putting binding on and do not like using glue or sticky tape.

Oh,wow! Perfection.
They look so pretty. I had never thought of a bar tack for the corners, but that is a great idea.
Do you do the bindings by hand? You're fast! And they're beautiful!
You always make great mug rugs Wanda!
THey might get faster as you go!
These are just darling!!
Do you paper piece them?
