The cutting is done! There are 196 pieces in the trial mock up and there should be 4 left over but somewhere along the line I misplaced a piece. It isn't perfect by any means especially in the blend from orange into rust/brown. As I have said before I consider this a starter kit to which pieces from a personal stash need to be added. When I am making a wallhanging with 196 squares in it, I usually have 250-300 choices that I can pick through to get a really good blend. So what that means is from a kit of 200 pieces I might only be making a piece 13 squares by 13 squares (169 squares).

Done! 200 pieces..........

Funny how those pieces sneak away, isn't it? You will probably find it when you are looking for something else if you are anything like me.
200 different batiks and a person could add more - that is crazy cool! You are amazing with the amount of patience you have for doing these kits!

Unbelievable how fast you got this finished. You have done the hard work, putting in a few optional fabrics will be easy in comparison.

begging, borrowing and stealing (just kidding)! 2.5 inch squares from all my friends to add to the beautiful kit coming my way from Wanda. Have some small scraps to sort through, looking to add at least 100, more than half way there. Just hope it comes out half as beautiful as yours; it will be my first one.
