I decided to start building a colorwash out of what I already have cut and that will help me decide what needs to be cut next. There are lots more needed between the blue and purple. I could just cut 200 random pieces and hope they work but I would rather have 200 that have a pretty good chance as a starter kit. I will pull rust, brown, and red today as well as looking for fill in pieces where I see gaps.
My neighbor and I decided I have a Philip Jacobs coleus. If you aren't familiar with his fabric you could go to this site and see a few of them.

You do indeed have that fabric, a wonder the plants have survived in your heat. Almost too hot to do anything near fabric, the new colourwash looks super . Cheers, Jean.
What a difference in the coleus plants!
Your colorwash is going to be spectacular.
I agree your coleus does look like some of Philip Jacobs fabrics.
Are you going to slip in a photo, in the colorwash kits so we have something to go by ? (*._,*)

Amazing, the contrast of dark green and purple! So beautiful.
Beautiful coleus but it is amazing how the sun is burning so many plants! My gosh Wanda, what a lot of work you are doing on the colorwash kits! Looking beautiful!
They DO look rather Philip Jacobs-ish, don't they! His fabrics are some of my favorites. Your colorwash selections are going together very well so far. That is going to be a really nice kit.
You're so right! I love his fabrics...
Gorgeous Coleus. I love them all and have a few of them but that one pinker one is really nice is it due to the sun and heat or does it always do that?
I see from the last few posts that you have been very busy cutting quilt kits. Where or where do you get all your energy? I wish we would get a nice day of rain so I wouldn't have to water for a couple of days. Will it ever come?
