I decided to go ahead with my garage sale even though my next door neighbors that are moving won't be home in time to participate. The neighbors across the street have advertised their sale as a 13 family sale and it is huge. I don't have much to sell but I hope to have some things leave my garage.
The picture is the pot that sits on the twig table on my porch. I like the pink leaf plant. It is called Irisene. I had a small leaf variety of it several years ago.

Funny that you are having a garage sale as I am in the midst of one too. Ours is a two day affair at my son's house, but I transported all my stuff plus tables and signs etc. Like you, I am hoping to just have less stuff. Like the Irisene a lot too. Thanks for identifying it. I thought it was some sort of coleus. Happy sale day!
I hope you have lots of found money this weekend! The prep for a garage sale can be daunting, but well worth it in the end.
Gaage sales take a lot of time, but the good thing is you clean looking for the stuff. Your plants are really looking good. Chris
I tried having a garage sale out here in the country once or twice after moving here 30 years ago and never have bothered since, not enough traffic I guess - I just pack my stuff up for Goodwill.

Lovely planter! We like garage sales...if you have traffic! Gone is good!!! Lots of new space...for quilty stuff! ;-)
Have fun, hope you sell some things. Will you haul the sewing machine outside and sew while you sell?
Good luck on the garage sale. I'm like Karen. I had one awhile back but I live in the country and don't have much traffic so it's too much work for little return. I just haul it all to the thrift store now. But it is nice to clean out the closets every now and then.
Wanda, Is that yellow flower Lantana? Lantana is one of the flower that is native to Pennsylvania. I have themm in my patio pots.
We are planning a multi generational garage sale in June. Something my home town farmer's market does is once a month it has a "Boot" sale. You pack the trunk of your car, pull in the parking lot, open your trunk, "boot" in England, and sell out of your trunk. My brother brought this idea back after his stint in the US Air Force stationed in England. It has really caught on. And side benefit, if stuff doesn't sell, it's already in the car to be taken to a charity!
Every year my town has a city wide Garage Sale. People come from all over, and last year there were over 200 ads listed in the paper. No telling how many just put out signs. I hate Garage Sales, don't even leave the house (traffic is to bad). But I give all my stuff to my sisters, tell them they have a better location and to keep any money, and this cleans up my house (less clutter). The great thing is, my sisters are so happy to get my junk that I usually receive a cake or pie as a thank you. I will never tell them that I'm just glad the clutter is gone.
Planter is so pretty. I'm going to dash down to my favorite nursery soon as I send this off and look for some of those 'leafy fillers' they add so much to the arrangement.
I'm still waiting for the weather guys to tell us we will have some sunshine for a few days and I too am going to do my bi- annual yard sale.
Hope you can sell ALL that you have for sale. ☺

Hope your garage sale is successful. Such a pretty pot of flowers!
Hi. I am new to this blog thing. I love your quilt work. I am in Orlando and will soon be doing some experimentation with triangles. Love your combination of techniques, thoughts and art.
