Pinkness!

The redbuds are in full bloom and the sky was so blue yesterday.  We had unseasonably warm weather in the beginning of the month but now we're back to normal, a little chilly.  It sounds like we won't have rain until the end of the week so the flowers on the trees will be safe for a little while longer.
Yes, this picture is blurry!  I took it from inside the house with the zoom lens and it was hard to hold the camera still enough.

I spent a lot of time sorting and putting things away in my computer desk.  I can't find the CD that came with my Canon camera so I'm sorting through everything, throwing away a lot of unnecessary papers.  Maybe I'll actually get organized and put labels on folders in the file drawer.  It meant no sewing or petting fabric though.  I had to make the recovery disks for my new laptop too last night.

no sewing!!!! Oooohhh nnnoooo! Me either. Organizational events are good - "Hoarders" was on again last night - a terrifying reminder of what CAN happen if we never step outside our sewing areas!

I read someplace an organized sewer wasn't creative. A messy unorganized sewer was creative. Well I must be creative, but I have nothing to show for it. I am learning not to be so messy as I work. I guess age is creeping up on me and I am tired of cleaning up all the time. Chris

I feel your pain!! All I wanted to do was work on my Millennium quilt. My big 8' x8' sewing table ends up being a dumping ground for everything. Yesterday morining I just took everything that was in my way on the table and dumped it in a corner! Where does all this stuff come from?

Thanks for sharing your beautiful redbud photos. Our nice big redbud tree was knocked down by Hurricane Ike. We have some little fellows though that have raised their heads from seeds it dropped, so in the not too distant future we should be seeing these pretty flowers again.

And I badly need to do some reorganization work, too. Soon.

Have a great day!

Watching spring bloom in your yard has been a treat. We are so far behind you as I write this. But the70 and 80 degree temps should help us get up to speed.

We are off to the Grand Canyon this week. Will catch up with you next week.

How gorgeous! A wonderful spring sight, all that glorious pinkness!
Have you tried a mini tripod for your camera. Makes a huge difference, especially if you've got a heavy lens on the camera body.

What beautiful flower photos the last few days.
I like the phrase 'petting' fabric - I think it is what I do too. More than actually make anything unfortunately!

I love riding down the highway this time of year and seeing the redbud in bloom.

Ah Redbuds, I miss seeing those in the spring and sumer. They don't do so well in Wisconsin.
