Happy Thanksgiving! and pictures today!

Here is the latest batch of blocks that I made Tuesday night.
Blogger is cooperating today and letting me put my pictures in.

First I took all of the blocks I have made and put them in one big layout.  I'm not sure it looks so great.

Next I pulled all of the blocks that are made of the same 2 fabrics plus a couple others.  The circles realy show up in this.

The last layout was all of the darker blocks, the most intense of colors and lower contrast between the 2 fabrics in each block.  I was surprised the circles showed so much with the low contrast in the blocks.

I have at least 16 more blocks to sew, so I have awhile before I have to decide how to finish them.

I will have 8 or 9 at my dining table this afternoon to give thanks for all good things.  Happy Thanksgiving to all of my USA friends.

Happy Thanksgiving Wanda.

I love the bottom "low contrast" layout best. It has great intensity.

I also like the light blue one with the occasional bit of orange sunlight shining thru.

Thank you for being such a consistent and generous blogger, Wanda. I love your blocks. I'll have to make one of these...right after I tackle a Strips That Sizzle and a Double Four Path!

Separating out the blocks really makes each version sing so much better solo. Remember that if you need to cut more fabric to make larger projects from these, I have the die and you are welcome anytime.

Happy Thanksgiving Wanda! I love those colours! This is a great learning opportunity for me without having to make any blocks myself. Thanks!

Wanda, happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I like both layouts, but I like the lighter version best of all. Those circles always intrigue me! I'll probably never make a winding ways quilt because I'm a wimp when it comes to sewing curves, so I'll have to enjoy your blocks as they are unveiled. Thanks for sharing!

I'd have a hard time deciding on a layout for this one. I especially love the dark intense colors in the last photo but they are all gorgeous. I sorta like the first with the less obvious circles the best. It's fun to have the circles appear after gazing awhile.

I'm thankful today for your blog. I may not always levee a comment but I read every post. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

My automatic spell checker drives me nuts sometimes. It should be "leave" not "levee". But I bet you knew that!

Happy Thanksgiving Wanda from snowy Seattle. My 'Christmas' cactus is also in bloom, as is an Easter lily that was on the patio all summer.

Wanda, have a great Thanksgiving! I am loving the batik Winding Ways, especially the lighter colors--although I like the darker ones too. Can't wait to see them in person!

Happy Thanksgiving, Wanda -- I hope you have a wonderful day with family & friends.
I like the last two photos the best -- the circles really do pop out in both, even in the darker, low contrast grouping. Every time I look at your Winding Ways blocks, I am so tempted to start another!

Happy Thanksgiving! I feel quite pleased with myself, as when I looked at your first layout, I thought 'the value os taking away from the subsidiary pattern'. Then you proved I was right! I'm finally starting to train my eye!
