Binding started................

I didn't get started on anything early in the day and my machine was unplugged for a few hours in the afternoon while storms rolled through.  Another .9" of rain.  A second round came through in the evening so the machine was unplugged again.  Finally later in the evening there was just light rain so I got busy on this binding.  Since the binding is black and the background of the backing is black, I decided it was best to do it all by machine.  I should be able to finish it today.

I'm glad I got a photo of the mounds of Cranesbill a few days ago because they are laying down after the rain.  More storms are predicted for today and then the high humidity should leave tomorrow.

Yes "black on black" is surely hard on the eyes;)))
Still no rain as yet here; but today is overcast and predictions are for thunder showers as the humidity comes in...
Pretty cranesbill flowers-- hugs, Julierose

I'm surprised that's all the rain you got. I've got at least 6" in the garbage can. Course, its an accumulation for a week. Still.
It got black like midnight here. Raccoons tore a hole in my roof so I have guests. Trapper has been here 2 days now and nothing yet. Sprung trap nite one but today its empty. They got all the way down my walls and into the laundry room on lowest floor. Thank God I keep that door closed tight. My one cat fancy s Herself a toughy.

Another finish soon! The flowers are so pretty! They will perk back up after they dry out a bit.

Black on black - UGH - binding by machine is a good plan.

Camera’s are amazing today ~ yours captured every stitch on your quilt and binding. Plus every petal on your flowering cranesbill plant. Makes for such a fun post to check in on every day.

I wish there had been more rain and less wind! Our power was out from about 4:30 p.m. to 9:31 p.m.

black on black is so hard on the eyes that like you I try to do a slightly different shade of black. The storms come here tonight I think
