The basting was done before noon and quilting started last night. I finally found the quilt that these bright leftovers are from. Here is a post that shows the quilt top. It's no wonder I couldn't remember it because it was 13 1/2 years ago.
I decided on straight line quilting and got it over half quilted. The lines aren't perfectly straight but I challenge any baby to complain about it.
It's supposed to reach 60 degrees today and then snow predicted both weekend days.

Oh what a bright and cheery baby quilt, Wanda--really perfect for a baby's eyesight! :)))
22 here this morning--I think it is supposed to hit 50 tomorrow and then plunge again next week with possibilities of more snowstorms...strange weather this year.
I am ready to do the final ironing on the rows and then begin sewing them together on my JR Jive piece. I can't wait to start on my patterned fabrics JR to make one of these....
enjoy those warm (but brief) temps there;)))
Hugs for a wonderful weekend Julierose
I like the leftover quilt best but then I love the alternate block fabric….it is perfect for the colorful blocks! The two quilts couldn’t be more different from each other :-)
Such a pretty quilt! You are looking at in from a foot away. Once it is washed and loved, the stitching will be fine.
I'm pretty sure the baby's parents won't complain either. It's a beautiful quilt.
NO baby is ever going to complain about that wonderfully colorful quilt - and I'm guessing none of the parents/grandparents will either :-)
The transparency is great -- and the background print. A winner!
This quilt just totally works—pattern, fabrics, and color (of course)! What a gem of a baby quilt! -Roxanne
