I finally got to the design wall with half of the blocks and created the layout of the top half of the quilt. I have enough blocks to do a 7 x 10 layout which will yield a top 56" x 80". That is pretty close to the 60" x 80" that I like. I started sewing this together last night and will design the bottom half today. It isn't quite as bright as the photo shows.
The first Amaryllis flower has opened and it is white with red edging on the petals. I should have a second flower today.
Here is the cute pot the Amaryllis is planted in.
Two quilts came home yesterday. Late yesterday afternoon I got this one trimmed and now I need to find a binding fabric. This one will be done all by machine.

That was a quick turnaround on your wall quilt:))) It is looking great!!
That red edged amaryllis is looking so beautiful with that creamy color!! My two are on their way to another blooming stem...
6 here this morning with a wind chill of -2. A bit under the weather here--some kind of stomach bug...ugh!!
Hugs, Julierose
The purple/green arrangement is wonderful! My amaryllis will bloom while I'm gone so I took it to the next door neighbors so they can enjoy it.
The layout of the blocks looks great and you are making good progress on this top. The amaryllis is very pretty. Sounds like you will be busy binding.
I love the layout of the blocks on the quilt growing on your design wall! Those colors would suit our younger son to a T!
Welcome home to your floral 1 patch quilt!
We're still iced in with no warm enough days for thawing until Monday. There may be more snow in between, too. Yikes!
Hugs!
purple and green looking good! Love the flower quilt! You are such an inspiration...
The block layout looks fabulous. It’s so fun to see the amaryllis grow. That white one looks beautiful and I like its pot.
And what a awesome design you have created with your purple and green ! White Amaryllis is stunning… we don’t see many of them white rimmed in red.
As always you have lots going on in your studios. By the time I read this~ I’m sure you’ve already trimmed the quilt Robin returned to you and are selecting the binding if not already sewn it on.
it is nice getting an amaryllis in a cute pot instead of the plain green or black plastic they usually come in The red tinted edges on the flower always look pretty. I actually miss not having them this year. 60x80 sounds like a good size - I think at least one or two of mine waiting to be quilted are near that size.
The chains really show up nicely. Isn’t it fun getting a quilt back from being quilted?
