Die cutting...............

I went through the small pieces of Wishwell Weather Report fabric to cut some half rectangle triangles for enlarging a quilt top.  There are 44 pieces in these piles.

I will need 20 of them to add one column of blocks on a side, and I'm doing both sides, needing 40 of them.  I have a little bag of leftover triangles from when I made the top, but it was in the basement when I was writing this post and I didn't want to go down there to get it.  I don't think there are more than a dozen pieces in the bag.  I still have a layer cake of this fabric line so I can pull out all of the light fabrics from it.  I want to add a double row across the top which will take 64 pieces.  This top is only 41" x 59.5" right now and adding these planned columns and rows will increase it to 47" x 71.5".  That is close to the 50" x 70" size that I like to make.  I could increase it to 50" with one more column.  I'll just do more cutting and then decide.

It was -2 yesterday morning and it got up 7 degrees by 1:45 p.m. when I had to leave to go to PT.  Wednesday will be our heat wave at 30 degrees and then back to the deep freeze.

Brrrr, sorry you had to go out in the cold for PT. Is it helping?

This Weather Report fabric is so lovely and impressionistic, Wanda--I like the half Recs you are using for this top...even though cut, they still show off the fabric so well...
17 degrees here and dropping by the hour; I may go food shopping on the early side to beat the cold front...just a bit concerned about the ice underfoot...
Hugs, Julierose

The subtle values in the design make it like a frosted window pane looking out on a sunny day. Very calming. We are supposed to be in a big storm, but it is sunny and blue skies here, very cold.

I bought what I could find of this fabric line when you posted the other quilt you made with it. This diamond design is beautiful! with the wind chill it is -5 here right now. 11 mph winds with gusts of 25 is going to make it rough for the guys out working on the bridge.

Very striking. I had to go to the eye doctor yesterday but that was the only outing!

Again, from that other quilt with these fabric, I love Weather Report fabrics and wish I'd seen them when they were for sale. This quilt will be so interesting with the columns you plan to make!
Today's high is 38*F and tonight's low, 15*F. Snow is likely for Saturday and Sunday, both day and night ... maybe!

Hugs!

I was cutting some scraps from that die and I must admit I forgot all about them. Weatherman says we are getting snow Friday and Saturday/Sunday morning. Unclear on how much I am hearing 5-12 inches which means they sure aren't sure what we are getting and about 5 days in the very low temperatures which doesn't happen often around here - time to stock up - if we get that much snow they won't clear our road off for 2 days at least and we will need the jeep to get in and out with the four wheel drive - which used to mean drive around and take photos - now at our age LOL it means stay home unless we have to leave!

What an appropriately named fabric line to be working on right now!
