Batik strips.................

I opened a drawer....and there were these matched 4.5" strips and 2.5" strips.  I knew they would work for double 4 patch blocks.  I have been needing a mindless sewing project for TV time.

I pulled all of the purple and green sets and started sewing the 2.5" strips together.  Each pair of fabrics will make 4 blocks, 2 dark and 2 light.

I retrieved the bag with half rectangle triangles for yesterday's project and found there were 20 in the bag, but they all faced the same direction.  I need both lefts and rights so I need to cut 20 that face the other direction.

I love some mindless sewing when watching TV at night. Have you adjusted to your new TV set up?

Nice to open a drawer and--voila--a pre cut picnic of fabric ready to go!! :))) I listen to Pandora radio while I stitch during the day in my room--I don't usually do anything at night as by that time my eyes are pretty tired.
12 degrees this morning and crystal clear skies...it will be very cold tonight they say...
Going for a haircut this noontime- just a quick walk from heated car and back in my puffy coat mostly looking like "Nanook of the North" :))) ...brrrr Hugs, Julierose

Half rectangle triangles now get cut double with right sides facing, at my house......because somehow they never got cut in the correct amounts before! I am angle-challenged!

I've been thinking about you as I've been coordinating and cutting batiks this week!

Lots of progress going on in your studios. And I so enjoy seeing and hearing about all that you’re working on. And WOW your temps have been colder than we are up here in the Rockies.
