In yesterday's mail there was a Christmas card from my talented friend, Linda Swanekamp. She not only makes quilts, she also paints. I love the warm glow behind the tree.
I got the basting done on this little quilt late yesterday afternoon and started the quilting last night. I quilted in the ditch crosswise on the quilt and am quilting a presser foot width away from the seams in the other direction.
Both packages of treats reached my 2 out of state families yesterday. On the post office receipt it said Friday delivery, so I could only hope they would be more efficient and get the packages there on Wednesday.

No white Christmas here, either, Wanda--35 degrees and calm this morning...The tumblers looks so soft--that will be a lovely one...;)))
No sewing here--still fighting off my head cold!!
Quiet day ahead preparing for the gathering tomorrow..hoping to feel better by then...I'm getting too old for this folderol!!
At any rate--Merry Christmas from our home to yours....
Hugs, Julierose
Merry Christmas, Wanda. Small remnants of our Tuesday snow on the ground, but another storm due tomorrow afternoon. Projections all over the board depending on the path of the storm. Maybe 5" here. We'll see. Fortunately I don't have to go anywhere. And I've got enough snacks to last until New Years.

Merry Christmas! No white Christmas here, but I am ok with that.
Merry Christmas, Wanda! Linda is a gifted artist.
The tree Linda painted is lovely!
Our last mailed parcel arrived yesterday, too, thank goodness.
The high today is to be 64*F with a bit of rain this morning. Our snow also came after Thanksgiving.
Merry Christmas to you, Wanda, and thanks for all the quiltie inspiration here on your blog!
Hugs!
Merry Christmas to you, dear Wanda. Definitely no white here - only a host of newly fallen leaves blanketing every horizontal surface (second major leaf fall of the season).
Love your glowing cardinal candle’s and your card from Linda. You are like one of Santa’s elves working in your studio last night.
No white Christmas here in the Rocky Mountains either . The mountains are snow capped and yet no snow in the valley. Forecasters tell us we could be in this ‘Atmospheric River System’ all winter. Coming from the Pacific this season.
Merry Christmas Wanda. I will give you some of our snow. We have an excess lol. Expecting more. Many people have cancelled travel because of storm(s) coming. The card is lovely as well.
Merry Christmas, Wanda!
Merry Christmas, Wanda! Also snow and ice free here now after a harsh start of winter from November on. Love the cardinal glowing candles.
that is a lovely painting
