I started the day yesterday making 3 batches of Chex Mix to take to the family party tonight. Late in the afternoon I worked on the quilting of this flannel tumbler baby quilt and finished the quilting last night. It is 39" square.
This photo is a little dark and I didn't have any luck trying to lighten it. The binding is the same fabric as the backing.
This is closer to the true color of the backing flannel. I used Hobbs 80/20 batting in the quilt.
Now I have 3 little flannel quilts made. I may be gifting one (the largest of the 3) of them tonight. I haven't decided yet whether the 2 year old would want it.

The colors, even though they are off from true, are rich and warm. The quilting you did shows up nicely on the back. I hope you have an enjoyable time at the family party.
Nice quilting on this flannel quilt, Wanda--looks so soft and warm..;)))
We are in "waiting mode" for our families to arrive. Just a few little things left to do.
Very cold here this morning-- only 17 degrees and the wind is ramping up...we are slated to get 4"-6" later on tonight through tomorrow morning. I think it will be shorter visits as everyone has to drive home and my eldest grandson, Steven, has a long drive to Boston...they'll want to beat the snow....thankful it's not starting until later on...hugs, Julierose
I cannot imagine that a 2 year old would NOT want a soft cuddly flannel quilt from you - enjoy your family time!
Any 2 year old would love one of your quilts . And your Tumbler is awesome. Love the precision quilting on it ~ shows off the Tumblers even more.
I love the tumbler quilt - I made one something like this awhile back and quilted it the same way, one of the few I machine quilted.
