After wrapping the Christmas gifts for the family party, I started basting this plaid baby quilt.
When I got home from the party at 8:30 last night I finished the basting and started the machine quilting on my Pfaff. I think I can get the rest of the quilting done today and trim and bind it.
They are predicting 57 degrees on Sunday and rain. It's just for one day before the frigid air gets here again.

Love the plaid baby quilt colors;))
We got 6+" of snow overnight; all our family left early to beat the start of the storm and made it home before the snow began in earnest...
My granddaughter, Willa, got a "beginner" sewing machine for Christmas and I spent most of the afternoon (figuring out!!) teaching her how to thread it and how to use it.
She ended up making three little "ditty bags" for her friends who are coming for a sleepover New Year's Eve--we had a fun time as she was so full of infectious enthusiasm and a quick learner...
What fun!!:))) hugs,Julierose

Me too, me too, l love the plaids. Good for you having energy after the party to quilt.
Love the vintage feel of this quilt. Just a dusting of snow here last night. Patty the quilt lady.
love the plaids - 57 will be nice for one day before the cold comes. I think we start to get colder in the afternoon tomorrow and then back to winter.
By now you must have quilt trimmed and bound. I tried to send a comment this morning but could not get connected with the internet. It was off for hours when I finally gave up and called Apple… and a good tech help me get back on late today. Looking forward to seeing it in full tomorrow.
