Working on two again................

I sewed on the right border and hoped the bottom border was going to fit.

It did with a tiny bit trimmed off one end.

I haven't made a final decision on the top and bottom borders and these strips are just pinned on the wall.  I moved this over to the left on the wall so I had room to start working on the next quilt.

I placed a little of each part of the purple Rosy quilt on the design wall.  The center is the 9 patches and large squares, the first border is one row of squares half the size of the 9 patches and the outer border is 2 rows of squares the same size as the squares in the 9 patch.  The original Rosy only has one row of the small squares and I may revert back to that.

I'm afraid this one will be a little more boring than the green Rosy that I made.  I might have to search for some more purples with other colors in the print.

I like the extra row of squares for the border, but it’s hard to tell with only a bit on the design wall. Looking at the green Rosy, it seems the prints have more other colors than what the purples have. Do you think that is the difference since there is a variety of lights & darks?
After getting over three inches of rain the night before last, we had another beautiful day. I thought the rain and wind would put an end to all the beautiful fall leaves but we saw a lot of beautiful colors while out and about yesterday.

Maybe you still have the stripes from the bottom and top for the right and left...
there are so many possibilities for beautiful results.
I hope you enjoy it.
I love the variety of colors.

This version of Rosy may not be as exciting as your first, but it will be lovely. Your other quilt is excitement of steroids and I love it.

The HST top is looking good. The purple Rosy is so pretty! I am sure you will dig thru that fantastic stash of your and find a few more prints that will work.

If you add a little splash of blue and/or red to your purple rosy quilt you may get the same movement that the green one had.
I loved the green one. I'm sure this purple one will look just as good as well.

Both quilts are looking wonderful and there are endless choices of where to go from these photos. What fun!
Our last day with a high in the mid-70s*F for the next 8 days. The coming highs will be in the 60s*F with a dip to the upper 30s*F at the end of the week.

Hugs!

I like how you decide to stand back and look at color for awhile before you make your final decision - I know I rush into it sometimes and then regret it.

I like how the HST quilt top is evolving - your treatment of those pesky geese is perfect.

Both quilt tops appeal in different ways. The 'rosy' quilt has been a favourite of mine for years, loving your purple version!

I love just looking and looking at the tops. The colors and values are very soothing to me.
