The last 8 blocks......................

This strata has the last two Nancy Crow fabrics that I chose for the 16 patch quilt.  I had eliminated these in the beginning but I didn't have many choices left.  There are 59 different fabrics in the pieced blocks.

There are 2 blocks of each of these combinations, the last 8 blocks.  Now I need to spend some time at the design wall.

Here are the next three dishcloths that are all at the same spot, ready to do decreases.

I baked scones yesterday to warm up the kitchen, and also to give me some breakfast food.  I made apricot sour cream this time, another King Arthur mix.

Mmmmm, scones. We turned the heat on for the first time yesterday as it was 62 inside which is okay if you are moving around, but if you’re not, it’s chilly.

Heat is on this morning; very windy and dark--awaiting that Nor'easter...56 degrees--so far no rain here. Took in all the light Summer furniture just in case....the worst of this storm is slated to come tonight...
I love that little NC yellow sprig fabric--I think I may have had some when I first began quilting long ago...
WOW--3 little dishcloths --so pretty--love mine;)))thanx again...

The blocks are looking great! The dishcloths are cute as can be ,I haven't dove back into crocheting yet,Chilly mornings here , chilly enough to grab that heavy housecoat but no hest as it's still getting up in the high 80's by noon

Nice fabric choices and I think they'll play nicely with the other blocks. Hope so!
Rain here in the wee hours and it's still raining a bit. 65*F for our high and 57*F for the low. August and September were oddly cool, too. Wonder what winter will be like? No snow last winter other than a dusting. That's odd, too.

Hugs!

We have been using the oven more as the temps cool (still in the 50s-80s range). Have fun at the design wall!

I anxiously await to seeing your 16 patch up on your design wall, your combinations always intrigue me. Well we have snow covered mountain tops again today. Winter is trying to break through… most days the snow melts down before the day is over. We desperately need that moisture.

I've been using the oven more now too and we have had the windows open for about a week - I'm not sure what the temperatures will be today it has been gradually getting warmer and will be through Thursday at least I bet it will start to get too hot to keep the house cool without the a/c after today - yesterday the heat was building up in the house

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished Nancy Crow quilt. It's amazing how the stratas and the blocks can look so different. It will be a lovely quilt when it is all done.

The blocks have some edgy fabric, but they turned out great! It was cool downstairs in the lower level studio so I plugged in the space heater to take off the chill. Scones sound so good.
