I finished the layout of the last 5 rows during the afternoon yesterday and sewed it all together last night while watching the new season of NCIS. I haven't pressed it yet so I'll give details on it later. It looks a little darker in real life. It was a stretch to get it up on the design wall.
I also finished the first of the latest 3 dishcloths that I had started. I'm going to try to use all of this yarn for Christmas gifts this year.
It got up to 72 yesterday so I had windows open. It was 69 degrees inside the house.

I like those alternate blocks sprinkled throughout, Wanda; really beautiful work;)))) They move your eye around so well...
55 here early this morning--today is my grocery day and errands...

The dishcloth just sings Christmas :) We had a lovely day yesterday although it was chilly in the morning. It’s currently 48!
Stunningly simple, yet so effective. Lovely!
That was a good stretch! That sounds like delightful weather.
The quilt top is wonderful! Will it be one of those you send out to have quilted since it is so big? Someone is going to love sleeping under it! The dishcloth is so pretty. You sure can whip those out fast! The weather was beautiful here yesterday again. I need to get outside and enjoy it while it is here, but I am wanting to get more work done on the flannel quilts so I stay inside.
Oops, anonymous was me!
What a great quilt! Always love to see your work!
This top is truly a dramatic quilt top… so full of detailed prints in darker colors than your usual trademark ones. Plus a nice large one that will be so nice and cozy for someone’s bed quilt. I was wondering if your dish clothes were knitted for gifting. Its nice to have a stash for gifting.
Wonderful quilt!! Might you add a border?
Hope you're cozy and warm!
Hugs!
I like the addition of the alternate blocks in the MD 16 patch. They both complement and separate the 16 patches. It was a beautiful day here, yesterday. I got some outdoor cleanup down while dodging the last of the falling black walnuts. My neighbor cut down one of the black walnuts that straddles our property line. There's still one walnut left, though, so the nuts will continue to be an annoyance.

Beautiful! I totally get the "stretch" to get a quilt top on the design wall (grin). Sunny here again today and tomorrow, then clouds and rain over the weekend. That's okay - we need it.
I hate pressing but it must be done. I forgot NCIS started last night any of the other series starting this week too?
Love it, and a pleasing choice of colors. I was taught to press as I go, so have been curious why you press after it is all sewn? Either way, this one is lovely!
