Finish # 3 for October 2025......................

It only took 8 years to get this quilt to the finish line.  I made the top in 2017 and considered ditch quilting it but ended up having it longarmed this month.  It is all batik fabrics and there are 3 sizes of 16 patch blocks in it: 4", 8" and 16".  I paper pieced the star before 2017.

It has Hobbs 80/20 batting in it and it measures 38.5" x 51".  Most of my batiks are a half yard to a yard so I was happy to find one that was a larger cut to use for the back.

I'm linking to Alycia for her finished or not Friday.

I planted some mixed flower seeds in August and they finally bloomed in October.  These are Marigold.  Every day I add a few more tomatoes to the windowsill from the boxes in the garage.  There are usually 3 or 4 every day that are turning color.

Just a lovely finish to your quilt, Wanda--such saturated colors that glow beautifully;)))
Our planter is now sporting rye grass; prepping for next year's crop...

The quilt is beautiful! Three finishes for October is great! Your tomatoes are pretty sitting on the window sill.

Gorgeous! Obviously its years in time out did not diminish it. No more tomatoes but the geraniums and roses are still blooming.

I love the colors in your quilt plus the mix of different sizes of 16-patch blocks, and of course the beautiful star!

That center star must have been a lot of work. I'm glad you incorporated it into this beautiful quilt.

The backing fabric is perfect for your beautiful star/16-patch quilt. Green and blue is one of my favorite color combinations so of course I think this quilt is gorgeous 😉. The tomatoes look lovely in the window with your marigolds.

Fabulous quilt, Wanda....you know I love those colors. :) When I took oil painting lessons (back in the day), we would do "still life" paintings. Your tomatoes/marigolds remind me of these projects. Good memories!

This Quilt ~ has an audience of blocks surrounding the STAR that is truly a BLUE/GREEN BEAUTY all its own. And your photo of your window sill is pretty, delicious looking.

Great finish with the star. Beautiful colors! Such a wonderful windowsill group of colors. Marigolds went crazy after the summer drought with some cooler weather and rain. I have a few stragglers hanging on.

Oh my goodness - that quilt is stunning! Blue isn’t often a favorite color for me, but that quilt is perfect, and I can’t imagine it in any other colorway. Beautiful finish, especially since it took its time to “percolate”!
