In this little basket are trimmings from previously made crazy pieced blocks. I thought about throwing them away a few times but didn't follow through.
This is the group I pulled out and pressed to use as centers for new blocks.
Here is block 1 before trimming..........
and this is after trimming.
Block 2 before trimming..........
and after trimming.
This is the next four blocks.
Number 7 and 8.
Number 9. I will put them up on a design wall today and see how well they work together.

Those blocks turned out so pretty! It is good you saved those scraps!
Those are outstanding. I never throw anything away.
Throwing out pieces that are bigger than 2"by2" is just not something I can usually do. All of those brightly colored pieces seem to say "I am still usable."
And looking at your crazy blocks we can see that it is true.
These are my kind of treats! What size are they? Makes me want to sit right down and start sewing.
You are AMAZING! I love everything you do.
Good morning, Wanda,
This is such a beautiful and informative post! Kudos to you on this chilly, sun-bursting day.

Love your blocks !! I have to save all the scraps.
Nice post today Wanda, enjoyed the before and after photos. Your eye for designing each block, like only you can do.

I've been making blocks like this for some time now. I love just sitting down and making a few when I want to sew, but don't want to have to pay a lot of attention or be too precise. They're so much fun!!!
I never thought of saving the cut off edges and using them for the centers of these blocks. Such a great idea!
Here's a photo on Facebook of my blocks so far. Clearly, I LOVE bright batiks!

Your blocks are great and yes we all keep every scrap - all precious all good
There you go again! Another amazing set of beautiful blocks. These blocks are a lot of fun. Maybe the fact that you just worked with the grays/neutrals make these look so much more colorful. I can’t wait to see how this develops!
Waste not, want not. Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without! Love them.
My, my, out of nothing comes something beautiful again! You never cease to amaze me in your unlimited talents‼️
These blocks are so much fun! I love using pieces that other people would give away. They make the most interesting pieces, and there is no pressure to make the "perfect" quilt - it is just trash anyway, so what if it doesn't turn out? But then it turns out better than all the planned stuff.
