Stratas...........

My daughter-in-law came over yesterday morning and helped me empty all of my pots and clean up the garden spaces.  She did the heavy work, I did some light work.

Last night I sewed some more stratas for the 4" finished 16 patch blocks.  I had the idea yesterday of adding in some 8" blocks too.  I will probably play with the idea on the design wall next week.
My cactus plants don't have a lot of blooms at one time so I was happy to have 3 at once.

I'm hoping for constant blooming all winter with all of my plants.  I think I still have over 20 of them but a couple of them aren't looking so good.  I think I need to re-pot some of them in new nutrient rich soil.

They are beautiful Wanda. Stan and I were out yesterday cutting back our Clematis against the southern side of the house, which is really huge. It's about 19 years old and a very prolific bloomer all season long. My kind of plant!

I really love that pink flower. Brought my geraniums into the house in a brown paper sack and put them in our basement till spring. I have one big one yet to do and I hope it come through like the others, it’s a different kind of geranium.

Nice Saturday post Wanda. Always enjoy seeing your catus blossoms. They are so delicate and look like a dancing fairy.

I love the blues and greens you've chosen so far for your strata.

My Christmas Cactus never bloom until the end of January, not sure if it's because I live in South Texas with warmer weather during the winter. I might take your idea of transplanting it into some good nutrient soil. Actually I really could make several plants out of my big one. I'm jealous of your blooms every year lol.
