Playtime sewing again........
I didn't have any project lined up to sew on while I watched TV. The box of 1.5" strips was still sitting there so I pulled out 2 contrasting values and stared making 4.5" 16 patch blocks. There are 3 blocks in each of the stacks and another 5 stratas that I need to slice and resew. That should keep me busy this week until I come up with a "real" project.

I think this is a fun "real" project. If you don't make them into a quilt, they will be great as a border.
Well there's nothing wrong with playing. That's where the best ideas come from, as you well know. I'm always interested to see which direction your creativity takes you.
I enjoy seeing what you're working on and these little blocks will be a joyful addition to a project.
Ahhhhhh......I need to prep some florals to do this when I need some easy sewing. I always loved your garden series quilts of 16 patches.
Love the intense colors of those blocks. Some sashing and set on point and you could have a very pretty baby quilt.
Nice display of checker board blocks with the strips waiting to be stitched together. You always have great photo's.
We woke up to our first snow fall here in the valley... the snow is kind of mottled looking laying over the green grass. So glad I just finished all my outside work yesterday.
