I cut and pieced the last 4 blocks and then trimmed them all to the same size. With my two friends helping I got the blocks arranged and added the Kaffe Fassett yarn dyed woven striped sashing strips.
Then I decided on a dark purple/burgundy shot cotton for the corner blocks rather than following the directions for the quilt in the book. Last night I sewed the sashing and cornerstones onto each block so it is ready to sew the blocks together now.

I like the dark corner blocks. They fit in with your fabric choices.
Oh, I do like this one - a lot!!
Love the burgundy idea!
I love this, Wanda! Those striped sashings are great....you always know exactly what fabrics are needed to really make the blocks sing!
We are having a cold, rainy day here in Virginia...perfect day for sewing!! Yesterday, I made a big pot of vegetable beef soup, so I don't even have to worry about cooking...more time for sewing.... Loved your snow pictures yesterday, but I hope we don't get any for a while...too much to do this time of year without having to worry about getting around in the snow, and, for us, a lot of times our snow has sleet mixed in...makes for treacherous road conditions....

Another great design, Wanda!
Wow!! Those are some wild and crazy quilt blocks!!!
Another beauty, Wanda.
So nice, Wanda.
I love it - as usual! You have such a wonderful sense of color and I enjoy seeing what you're up to every morning. Also love that your blog does not have pop-up ads - so annoying! Merry Christmas!
Oh this has worked beautifully and I love the dark corner blocks, just right!
Oh boy, I do love these blocks!
I think I like your version better so full of energy
I agree with Sewyouquilt2 - Kaffe needs you on his team! This is another 'favorite' for me!
