A little info: there are NO batiks in this quilt, all regular quilting cotton prints. I have a tutorial for the 16 patch here. It assures seams going in opposing directions all through the quilt if you follow the directions.
Some of the blogs I read use this size font. My old eyes don't like this size. I have to strain to read it.
This is the font called normal and yes, you have to choose it each time you do a post, but it is so much easier to read.
This is the font I choose to use. Maybe that pinpoints me as an old person who can't see well but I think I am being kind to you readers too. I am much more likely to read something that I can read easily. Any comments?

I like the larger font too and wish that Blogger gave us more options for picking and saving our choices.... when we write, instead of always having to choose our defaults every time!!! Pink is looking very pink!

Thank you thank you for your thoughtful comments on reading fonts. Its especially hard to read when bloggers use a gray color instead of black. The same difficult to read effect happens when a "skinny" font is used.
Yes, the large font size is perfect for me. I have 3 pairs of glasses; 1 for reading/typing, 1 to see my monitor (usually perched on top of my readers; I don't like bi-focals) and a pair for watching TV. I prefer the elephant leaves with the gloss, although either would be good to watch the rate of growth. I would have stuck something in the top to give perspective but great to see how big they are now. We had rain early this morning so no need to water :)

I like the larger font. It's very contemporary and clean, and the larger size emphasizes that. Plus, it really is easier to read!!
Love to watch your progress on quilts as well as your gardening. Not a gardener myself, but enjoy the fruits of others' labors. The font you use is perfect for me - I also have vision issues. I like print large and on a nice white background. When print is too small, I just pass it up...

I find your blog VERY easy to read. I've been debating shifting mine to a larger font as well. Sometimes it makes me feel like I'm shouting but then I know a lot of us have eyes that aren't quite as sharp as when we were 18. Your pinks are scrumptious - and NO batiks, that's impressive!
Those pinks are so pretty. I agree....I like the easier to read posts too. I may have to start using that.
I like the font you 'choose to use'. One of my pet peeves is font that is too small to read easily. The website my public library uses is mostly white space with a tiny font that is hard to read. Maybe designers do this so the stuff can be read easily on a smart phone, but still, I find it annoying!

Control-plus (+) on any webpage will increase the font. I just keep hitting cntrl+ over and over again until it's a good size to read. However, it's always nice when the site already has a readable size! So I appreciate that you chose the large font. Thank you!
As you know, I have eye and vision issues. I love the font you have been using!! Your flowers are looking good as is the 16 patch pink top.
I agree with you about a larger size font being more reader friendly. Like you I only scan or entirely skip over those that aren't easy to ready due to size and/or style of font. I'm sure I've missed some very helpful advice in doing so but it wouldn't be worth the eye strain to gain it.

When I looked at your pink fabrics the other day, I would have said they were all batiks! Great pinks!! I prefer the font size you use and I'm middle age. :)
It's ridiculous that the blog template doesn't save your preferences, and I'm so glad you take the time and energy to do it for your readers. I admit, though, that I sometimes read through my blog list on Feedly, without clicking through to the blog sites. When I do visit your website, though, I'm reminded how much better, richer it is.
I definitely appreciate the larger font. Even though my eyes are 1000 time better since cataract surgery (not so much that the cataract were bad, but mostly to get the implants to make the vision better and get rid of the coke bottle bottom glasses), I like the larger print on blogs and in books. I can actually read your blog without my glasses - it's just a tiny bit blurry because of my astigmatism, but I CAN read it. Yeah.
Love the photos of your garden. I don't have one because I have 10 black thumbs and live out in the country with lots of cottontails, deer and elk among other creatures as well as really rocky soil.

My early blog posts were in little print. I have tried to edit them to make the print bigger but without success. Now I use "normal." I do admit it's easier to see the larger type . . .
I like the all-pink blocks. I can imagine those as the background with a very large flower appliqued on them.
I love your pink 16 patch, I'll head over to your tutorial as a full size 16 patch quilt is on my list of future projects. Your font size is so very "user friendly", I find it quite a strain on the eyes these days to sit sand read a number of blogs (even with reading glasses) so the larger font is perfect.

The larger font for your blog is a blessing. Sadly, the comments revert to smaller fontand are tiny, but I can resize them on my kindle. Love your quilts and your garden pics.
How big will your quilt be? Hard to believe that's only half, it looks so big already! I'm loving it.
I post so infrequently, and I'm ashamed to say I have no idea what font I use myself, but I love yours. What I particularly dislike is when people use multicolored backgrounds, or print on top of pictures, that makes it so hard to read. Too much design overwhelms the text. I've given up on some blogs for reasons like that.
