Colorburst 2 ready to sew............

I finished filling in pieces on Colorburst 2.  I have changed a couple pieces since I took this photo.  I have also sewn the first 6 vertical rows together.  I have mixed feelings about whether it is done but I'm going to go ahead and sew it.  I plan on making a series of 5 or 6 of these.

This is the progression collage.

I still have colorburst 1 on the wall and I turned it 180 degrees from yesterday's photo on my blog.

My zinnias are so happy.  The Japanese beetles have gone on to other plants.

The tiger lilies have started blooming.  This is the front flower bed.

This is the wild backyard garden, just filled with purple coneflowers and Tiger lilies across the back.

Will all the tops be constructed using the same size squares? I'm picturing the finished series suddenly coming together into one spectacular piece! At any rate, this is another inspiring series.

Colorburst one looks terrific turned! Colorburst 2 has a lot of energy and punch. All areas work together and no one spot screams out over another. Your garden looks lush. We are in a scary drought which is so unusual for us. I water and water, but the grass (which I don't water) actually crunches underfoot.

I do love the colorbursts. I may have to try doing one of those.

Colorburst 2 reminds me of weather radar showing a storm rolling in! The zinnias look wonderful. I can't even show you mine - the weeds have gone crazy and taken over. I have more zinnias popping up, but until I can weed I would be too embarrassed to show a picture of mine.

The colors inside and outside are just happy colors.

Hi Wanda, I am thoroughly enjoying watching you play with colors! I'm sure you already mentioned this before, but how big are each of your color wash quilts? Are they wall hanging size? I love them!

I am really liking these colorburst pieces. Maybe its just me, but the first looks like a blurry flower arrangement. Anyway - it's PRETTY!
