I thought I had taken one set of every fabric combination to the machine but when I was counting strips last night I discovered the other dark pink in the pile. There will be enough of the dark pink of both fabrics to make a lot of blocks, like 12 or more of each.
We had a big rain very early yesterday morning. I had almost 2" in my rain gauge. This is the view out the kitchen window when the sun came out a few hours later. There are 2 squirrels on the ground, several birds at the feeders.
This is one of the crazy critters burying seeds. It is no wonder there are all kinds of strange plants coming up back there.
This one was watching the other one bury the seeds.
Way in the back are 3 of the cannas, 2 of them about 3' tall.

The pink blocks are so soothing and peaceful. It is going to be a beautiful quilt.
The variety of pinks make the blocks seem like a glow, like at sunrise. We had about 3 drops of rain so the drought continues. Lake Erie has been stingy with lake effect this summer.
sounds like the rain we had two times this past week - both times about 2 inches and it is hot and humid here in the upper south!
The pink quilt is so pretty! When placing objects to accessorize a room or planting plants, a rule of thumb is to use odd number. I was thinking you could use a third dark pink block since the two you have pop against all of the softer pinks. I think the darker pink blocks add that extra bit of interest needed with all the softer pinks.
Your pink blocks are really nice, waiting to see where you go with this. We had a fair amount of rain down here by St.Louis. Plants are going nuts and blooming wonderfully, so are the weeds. We are digging up start up trees for my son as he loves these little trees in our yard.
Gosh....wish we could get your 2" of rain here.
The pinks are ever so pretty.
That's going to make such a sweet quilt!!
Love the pinks! That rain moved to the east and we got our share too, though I didn't check the gauge. I have the same feeders you show in the picture.
Have a great weekend...it will be less muggy.
I live just to the east of you, on the other side of the lake. Osceola.
