Another border........
The next border on the medallion is 2.5" squares. I had some trays of Kaffe fabric squares so I pulled all of the light ones and sewed 2 of the 4 borders. I have a combination of pale yellow and white backgrounds so far and this group looks more white. I'm going to look at it again today and decide if it needs to be a better mix of white and yellow. I also have to decide if multi-fabric is the way to go or if I need to just choose 4 fabrics and repeat them over and over. There are lots of decisions on a medallion quilt.

This is a cool quilt to watch grow.
When I see a medallion quilt, it always seems very unified -- one thing -- because of the single center of symmetry. I'm enjoying the border decisions each as their own separate thing.

Are you designing as you go, or is there a master pattern?
This is coming along great! Your color and fabric choices have been spot on! Love it!
Each of the decisions you have so far are good ones. Keep on keeping on.
I am loving watching you make these decisions and the quilt is really pretty, I'm tempted by the book too!
I love it...it's going to be a great quilt!
I like what you're doing with the present border, the quilts is looking wonderful! Just been told my book would be in my mail box Saturday - looking forward to that.
I like the new light border. It really brightens piece.
I like the newest border too....I think it gives it a nice depth! Great looking quilt so far!
