Blocks trimmed...........

I finished basting the church banner yesterday, trimmed excess fabric and batting and cleared the table where I will be quilting it.

While I was down in the basement I trimmed the two purple blocks that I showed about a week ago and put them up on the wall the rest of the blocks.

We got 3/4" of rain overnight Friday into early yesterday morning.  It was too hot and humid to mow the grass after it dried off.

We've had 5 days of glorious low humidity. We'll be back to the rough stuff this week though, so more sewing and less gardening!

I found those 2 guys, Hot and Humid hanging around outside yesterday, and decided to stay inside and cut fabric squares for a patchwork pumpkin table runner or two for gifts and got some of the pumpkins sewn together. Looks like there's more rain coming in the next few days and we sure need it. We've got cracks in the ground that are at least 3/4 of an inch wide in some spots, so the rain will be welcome, but Hot and Humid are not!

Enjoy your day Wanda.

I had let our grass grow for almost 3 weeks I think before we finally had a nice cool day that I used for cutting grass. I hate to let it grow as long as it had but it had been just too hot to do the work. Love your blocks

That makes for muggy conditions!!! Glad you can stay cool in the basement and stitch.

We had a couple a just glorious days; and we've had lots of really nice cool nights which in itself is unusual for this time of year. It's very refreshing, but it's still back to oppressively hot and humid during the day. Nothing to complain about. It's August, after all. I'm just thankful for my a/c!
Love your wonky log cabin blocks! They're so happy.
