Cutting up scraps........

I had a run in with yellow jackets on Friday early evening.  I got stung on my hand, my left earlobe and behind my ear.  That earlobe is at least triple the size of the other one.  I took Benadryl and 3 naps yesterday.

Last night I started cutting my Kaffe scraps into 2.5" squares.  I have 2 projects in mind to use them with.

That is not fun!!! on any night. I am allergic to them and my reactions get worse every time, so now I leave them be (pun). Soon they will be just a dim memory as the snow flies!!! We're all waiting to see what you do with the squares!

So sorry to hear about your bee adventure-NOT FUN! Hope you are feeling much better today.
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the squares.

Love the squares. Looks terrific. Can't wait to see what is next.
I used to dread this time of year with the yellow jackets and school starting when I was an art teacher. None of the schools I worked in had screens, so they would fly in the window and students would be freaking out regularly.

Yellow jacket stings are awful. Thank goodness for Benadryl to help us through it. Hope your ear returns to normal quickly.

don't you just hate running into stinging insects - 2 weeks ago when I got stung by a mud dauber the sting swelled much bigger than I ever thought it would and took a week to go away - I hope yours go much quicker than mine did - I stepped into a hole years ago that had yellow jackets in it and and had them all over my ankle but didn't swell like you say you did - hope your ear goes back to normally quickly.

Am so sorry to hear of your run in with the bees. I know the stings themselves are painful and hope you will feel better shortly. Thank God you had some Benadryl on hand. I know we always keep some in the house, just in case, but so far we've been fortunate and just replace it when it's too old. Better safe than sorry. Enjoy your day with Kaffe!

Oh no. Yellow jackets are so aggressive at this time of year. Did you know that yellow jacket nests double in size every week at this time of year?

Be careful outside for the rest of the season. The sting has something in it that marks you as the enemy and you become more of a target for them.

Speedy recovery! Benadryl knocks me out too. Usually within 15 minutes of taking it. Can't wait to see what you make with the squares.

So sorry to hear about your bee stings. :(

About your scraps...do you cut them by hand or with a Cricut?

Oh No! They have been mean this year! Plentiful, too. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Beautiful prints. Looking forward to seeing these squares come together.

I was always told that Yellow Jackets are the most ornery of flying insets. I got stung on my cheek a few weeks back by a mud dauber bug it didn't swell at all. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Ouch! I'm glad you aren't allergic. I need to get into the habit of cutting up my scraps into certain sizes, so they are ready to go into a quilt.

Ouch!! Hope you are feeling better now. I hate taking naps, they screw up the whole body. I am at the point I can't sleep through the night & get up in the morning still tired. I napped yesterday & today feels like Saturday. The Kaffe blocks look yummy.

So sorry that you were stung by yellow jackets. They are wicked I know. The last time I was bit my hand was swollen for almost two weeks.

Ouch! I hope the swelling is gone fast! This time of year those things get so aggressive that I almost start hoping for a frost.

I'm really curious - it will be fun to see what you are going to do with the Kaffe squares.

Oooh - that sounds rather nasty. I'm presuming that yellow jackets are a wasp or something similar? I live way down south in New Zealand so I'm not familiar with the name. But we do have biting and stinging insects as well - never much fun to get bitten.
