Little triangles..........

I searched for some spare parts from other quilts to add to these blocks.  I found some little triangles in the box of leftovers from my Bear Paw quilt.  I had made 3 sizes of blocks so I have more than one size of triangles to work with.  I can see this will be a slow process.

My first colorwash class in my home is next week so I spent time rounding up all of the quilts and photos that relate to colorwash.  I thought I knew where everything was but some of it was hiding really well.  I need to make a small colorwash too so I will have one ready to demonstrate sewing it all together.

This is going to be a neat looking quilt when you get it done. Really stylish! Chris

Preparation.... the biggest part of the battle!!! Isn't it funny, how our brains organize our organization?

I LOVE how it looks with even just a few of the triangle units. Thanks for the inspiration.

Love the addition of the triangles! Maybe you should dig around more and find other leftover bits that could be incorporated into this quilt!

I wish I lived closer so I could attend one of those classes.

I love how you add something as simple as leftover triangles and it looks great.

I love the little triangles! Looks a lot like what I learned in Pat Sloan's workshop yesterday!

Hi Wanda ~ it has been a crazy summer with so much going on at my end of the world. Enjoyed catching my breath and scrolling down to view all your posts from the past. So relaxing to see what you designed and to see your garden full of blossoms. As always your color wash is amazing... I don't know if I ever will be able to accomplish just one. 7/16/15 color wash is just incredible, love it.

Have fun teaching your color wash class!! Sounds fun & I know they will learn a lot. I have washed and ironed all my scraps that you sent me. I am now pondering what to make. I am leaning towards the La Passacaglia from the Millefiori Quilts book by Willyne Hammerstein. It is on the front cover. Can you imagine that in Kaffe & batiks? I also was thinking of a hexagon quilt design. Half the fun of a stack of "new" to me scraps, is deciding what they should become😍. Hope the weather is nice for you---we are in the high 80's with a nice breeze tonight. Also hope you are seeing well with the glasses!!
