I could see I was going to run out of room on the double design wall so I sewed the first 11 rows together to compress it a little. This is 2 1/2 stratas out of 5. I finished unpicking the third strata after I took this photo. Hopefully I will get the last two sewn today. It will be too cold to go anywhere. The temperature is supposed to drop all day and be below zero tonight.
My indoor garden is doing great. This is the second Amaryllis that i bought on sale in January.
Both of the orange cactus plants have buds and one started blooming yesterday.

The zigzag quilt is looking so vibrant and happy.
I love your amaryllis photos.
Love the Zig Zag. Is this pattern available in a book?

I like the TAW.... but I think I am going to make this... for sure... sort of a combo of Bargello and TAW!!!! but it is down the road aways.... at this point.
My Cactus, plants gave me a few blooms after bringing them home... and one looks like it may be setting new buds. But I also found 2 orchids, that were neglected... and find them fascinating...
Good morning Wanda on this very windy and brutally cold day. You're right, this won't be a day to stick you nose out the door and am happy we did our shopping yesterday.
This quilt is so stunning, that I think I'd rather make this than the TAW, if you decide to do a class on it. Have a productive day, which is a given, and stay warm.
beautiful quilt and flowers! I would stay inside too - our cold starts tomorrow and last 4 days or so and maybe ice starting late tomorrow - I would much rather it be snow or sleet it won't build up on the trees so much - we haven't had a power outage this winter yet, but ice coming could change that
Stay in, stay warm, and keep stitching. This is beautiful. So are your lovely plants!
You zig zag TAW is so cheer-y and a little valentine-y. Stay warm and have fun!
I'm loving watching the progress of this zig zag quilt and the colours are all 'zinging' together - beautiful :)
It's going to be fabulous!
Oh, your flowers make me lonely for mine in my own apt. I'll just have to save yours and look at them every once in awhile.
ZigZag is beautiful!
The zig zag makes me think of bargello. It certainly is a hot and lovely counterpoint to the cold.
That looks amazing, Wanda. The colors are so wonderful.
The indoor garden is a refreshing color burst in the cold winter.
Stay warm. It sounds like it is going to be brutal.
Wanda,
Just showed this to DH and he said, "that's nice!"...I'd say "heat wave" is a good name for it, although it certainly does not mimic the weather outside! BRRRRRR
What a great way to pass off a cold night! This zig zag quilt is going to be extraordinarily delightful!
Gorgeous colors and definitely a heat wave! Great name!
Love the color story of this quilt!
It definitely is a hot quilt! Amazing colour combinations which just flow, I think it's a stunner.
Your zig zag is SPECTACULAR!!
I especially love the turquoise into lavender bit of the quilt.
I really, really, really like that zig zag! It is just beautiful. Your indoor flowers are pretty, too. Good that you have some to keep you going until you can get back outside. Stay warm!
WOW, just WOW. I am completely in love with the zig-zag. Your quilts are always so striking and vibrant.
You may have converted me to the "strata."
It's truly awesome!
