Basting.........
Yesterday afternoon I got the backing taped to my double table.
I spread out the top and thread basted it. I can start quilting it today on my straight stitch machine.
The paper whites started blooming.
I have one bloom and a few tiny buds on the cactus started from my mother in law's plant. This one is a coral/red.

Paperwhites blooming is a lovely Christmas gift from your indoor garden--such a delicious smell.
Love the backing. Why not quilt it on the long arm? Boy, I really need one of those machines.

I love paper whites and totally forgot to get any flowering plants this year. I just didn't get very much into Christmas this year and need to do better next year.

Your top looks very bright and fun too. The backing fabric is beautiful too. Just found your blog. I hope I can say one day that I'm quilting for almost 60 years! Very impressive and such fun to be able to do something you like for so long.
