#19 is pretty wild so I hope it looks good with the rest. I thought the green was going to read darker than the orange but it didn't so they are in the wrong positions. I don't think that will make any difference in the end.
This paper pieced star has been waiting for its corner triangles for 10 months. I decided this Hoffman batik was just perfect. If you want to see it without its corners, click here.
We have snow on the ground now, about 3" according to the news. It was dark by the time it stopped snowing so I didn't go out and measure. My snow plow guy came and cleared my driveway last night. For the last 2 years the first time he needed to come was Feb.

I wondered how much snow would welcome me home. I can't get another flight until tonight.
I love those stars! I can't wait to get back to my sewing machine.
I never realized that we had so much snow yesterday. In fact don't know if my driveway was plowed or not. I do know that when it first started it was beautiful looking out my back windows toward the wooded part of my property. Ok, now we saw it, lets get to spring. LOL
No snow here but it rained a vast amount yesterday. I thought I would float away.
When I first saw this block I thought the background looked like Christmas. I bet it'll work when set in with the others.
I am so glad to see you keep pushing the envelope with your color combos. It is never predictable or boring even though it is a pretty rigid pattern. Glad you take chance with color.
I love the colors you have chosen. All mixed up I bet it will go well with the others. Yes I hope this early snow is not an indicator of what the rest of the winter will be like. Finally will be above freezing today - let the thaw begin.
I'll bet the view is a winter wonderland this morning.
Your #19 looks great - light or dark colors wrong!
The background is a bit wilder, but it could add that bit of bam to the quilt.
Gorgeous paper pieced star
I like both stars.... we got snow, sleet and freezing rain... for a wonderful wonderland of ice on everything!
Another exciting post Wanda. You have an amazing eye for combining fabrics, from designing every quilt top, to these stars, makes my day just to check in.
You have the same temps as we do... but we had them first... and they just won't go away. (*._,*)

I love star number 19 - it's spectacular.
We got just a light dusting of snow but oh, is it ever cold!
I LOVE the orange and green star, and I'm sure it'll work perfectly with the rest.
Both stars are pretty. We still have ice patches on the roads and bridges!
