Another December finish...almost..........
I loaded the backing on the longarm machine a couple weeks ago and yesterday I finally got the batting and top on there and got it quilted. I got half done hand sewing the binding while watching "The Secret Life of Bees". I had forgotten a lot of the story but remembered that I really enjoyed reading the book. I also quilted another of the confetti pieces and did the edge finish on both but didn't take a photo yet.

It was a cute story! I spent some time in the sewing space yesterday... wasn't nearly as productive as you!
I got all of my string blocks put together from a swap that I participated in a few years ago. I had to add six blocks to make it quilt size. I have the first border on and have to check and see if I have something I can use for the second border. I watched all of "Strip Your Stash" on the Craftsy platform. I certainly have enough fat quarters to make several strata.
You got a lot done yesterday! I don't think I've ever watched "The Secret Life of Bees." Maybe our library will have it.
I watched that movie the other day as well, wasn't it good? I really enjoyed it.
I wish the best of New Years to you and yours, love your daily postings!
Have not seen the bee movie but now you have perked my interest. The quilt looks so cheerful-must be a nice contrast to all that snow. I got some of block 5 done in the BH Mystery Celtic Solstice-I am loving this block-it must have a name-posting pics tonight.
I am thinking of getting a long arm or a sweet sixteen quilting machine do you have any recommendations. I have a bad back so is one of these machines going to work for me. I figure you have had a lot of experience nwith them and I respect your opinions.
That is a scrumptious quilt and I love your confetti art. I loved both the book and movie "Secret Life of Bees."I've enjoyed you r blog for a long time. Happy New Year.
Enjoy seeing your 'Wandaful' colorful quilts on these cloudy over cast winter days. Seems I am always repeating... but here goes anyway ~ your backing and binding is so perfect.
"The Secret Life of Bees" was that on PBS ? I missed it no matter where it was.

I enjoyed reading The Secret Life of Bees and movie was pretty well done too. The author has a new book out called The Invention of Wings: A Novel. I plan to read it in the new year. Happy New Year to you, Wanda. Your blog brightens my days!
Very productive day!
