The layout, maybe........

I like it when I look at it on the design wall, I'm not so sure when I look at it in the photo.
I used the duplicate blocks and designed  two wallhangings.  I think this one is ready to sew.

This one ended up with the leftovers and I'm not thrilled with it. Maybe I'll use some of these blocks to 'fix' the large one.  I need to look at them with fresh eyes this morning.

This series has lots of dramatic impact. I especially like the first of the two wall hanging size quilts.

The placement of the yellow and black striped block in the middle of the first picture is perfect! Talk about drawing your eye to the center of the quilt! I know you will come up with the best layout possible. These will be beautiful!

What are you going to name these quilts? Love them all.

Here's what I see in the large layout, take it for what it's worth:

I think the blocks with light neutrals in them detract from the vibrancy of it, rather than bringing color out, as we might normally expect them to do. The first of the two wall hangings has much more life to it, in this regard.

I also see a diagonal line of warms from top-left to bottom-right, with no breach, which makes the cooler blocks seem isolated from each other.

The second wall hanging, while more muted than the first, has great unity and its own identity. It works.

Thank you for sharing your process with us!
